The hotel La Perla in Sosua, Puerto Plata that Lewis sold for half a million dollars according to reports.
DOMINICAN REPUBLIC - The dismembered body of a man was discovered on Friday last by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Dominican Police in Moca-North.
It is suspected that this could be the body of American businessman Brent Renault Lewis who has been missing since November 2014 after being kidnapped.
The US businessman sold his hotel La Perla in Sosua, Puerto Plata for half a million dollars.
According to reports, two individuals were arrested in January, namely Mary Geraldine de la Rosa Bonilla, who managed the hotel, and US citizen Frank Sorichetti, also known as Frankie Carleone. Bonilla, reportedly confessed to the murder together with Sorichetti.
A part of the body was discovered on a farm in Moca. Police authorities are also looking for Alex Branislav.
An autopsy is to be performed on the body part that was found to determine the identity of the individual.
