Tonight, through Sunday evening: Northeasterly to easterly to with a gentle breeze of 6 to 12 mph. 

SYNOPSIS:   

Weak instability is affecting the region. Shallow clouds drifting across the island will generate partly cloudy conditions and isolated showers.   

Northerly swells are predicted to occur for the next several days. Small craft operators and sea bathers are advised to exercise caution.   

STATE OF THE SEA:  Slight to moderate        WAVES/SWELLS: 4 to 6 feet 

SPECIAL FEATURE:   

At 5:00 p.m. Tropical Depression (TD) 15 was located approximately 1005 miles east northeast of the Lesser Antilles. This system is predicted to become a hurricane by early next week. However, TD 15 does not pose a direct threat to St. Maarten.  

The Meteorological Department St. Maarten will continue to monitor the progress of this system and update the public accordingly.
