Sint Maarten Baseball-Softball Federation Secures Invitation to Men Adult Caribbean League Champions Cup

SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY) - The Sint Maarten Baseball-Softball Federation is elated to announce its invitation to participate in the Men Adult Caribbean League Baseball Champions Cup, set to take place in the Dominican Republic from May 5 to May 12, 2024. This prestigious tournament provides Sint Maarten with a unique opportunity to showcase its talent on the international stage and marks a significant step towards establishing a presence in the world rankings of the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC).

Sint Maarten has been a proud member of the Caribbean Confederation of Baseball (Cocabe) since 2017, and the federation acknowledges and extends gratitude to the preceding board for their efforts in securing this membership.

Participation in the Caribbean League Champions Cup holds paramount importance for Sint Maarten, as it serves as a platform to accumulate points and embark on the journey to attain a position in the esteemed WBSC world rankings.

In preparation for this momentous event, the Sint Maarten Baseball-Softball Federation will be conducting tryouts in the coming weeks. Interested participants are encouraged to visit the national team page on the official website, www.sxmbsf.org, and complete the tryout form.

Additionally, players aged 16 are welcome to try out but must complete a consent form. An open invitation is extended to Sint Maarten baseball players abroad, including those playing professionally. A dedicated technical committee will be in place to carefully select the best players to represent the country.
