Busy weekend ahead with three Pre-Carnival events

Reigning Junior Carnival Queen Arianna Dupont (above) will crown a new Junior Carnival Queen on Sunday.
SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY) - Carnival 2024 pre-Carnival events continue in the upcoming weekend with three events schedules to take place, one each on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Friday kicks off with a Road to Carnival (RTC) event called Fete is Fete Vol3, Presented by Carnival Corner. This Soca concert will be held at Soggy Dollar Bar and will feature Latest & Exodus HD Band, Tolly Boys, Skillful Band, 4MHD Band and Strictly Vybz Band. They will be complemented by DJ JP, DJ Sexer and DJ Siw’Roo.
The party continues on Saturday with another RTC event entitled “Jamfest: Road To Carnival Bash”. It will be held at Moonbar Rooftop and will feature Signal Band Combo, Official Band, King James, Odd Brothers, DJ Outkast, DJ King Kembe, DJ Sexer, DJ Siw’Roo and Main Event. The event is also a birthday bash for Riddim Master DJ Vybz.
Finally on Sunday, the St. Maarten Carnival Development Foundation (SCDF) will present the Junior Carnival Queen Pageant 2024. The pageant will be held at the Belair Community Center starting at 3pm. It will feature three contestants, namely Katalina Aliya Linzey, Ja'mayah Flanders, and Nevaeh Paines. The girls and their parents are hoping the community comes out to supports them on Sunday.
