Soualiga Corporate Toastmasters Club Congratulates President Brenda Maynard on her Prestigious Presidential Citation from Toastmasters International

SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY) - Toastmasters International is proud to announce that Caribbean national Brenda Maynard will receive the esteemed Presidential Citation, recognizing her outstanding achievements in promoting the organization's goals and ideals.
The award will be presented during the 100th-anniversary celebration at the Toastmasters International Convention in Anaheim, California. The ceremony, a highlight of the convention, will take place at the Anaheim Marriott on Thursday, August 15, 2024.
Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) Brenda Maynard is being honored for her exceptional dedication and leadership within the organization. As the second Past District Director of District 81 to receive this once-in-a-lifetime recognition, Brenda has a remarkable track record, including being the first to earn the Smedley Distinguished District award.
Under her leadership as District Director from 2020-2021, her team successfully established over 25 new clubs, placing a Caribbean District third globally for overall achievement during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, Brenda was recently honored with a District Citation award for outstanding leadership.
District 81 encompasses a diverse range of territories including Anguilla, Antigua, Aruba, Barbados, Bonaire, Cayman Islands, Curacao, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Martinique, Montserrat, Puerto Rico, Saint Eustatius, Saint Martin, Sint Maarten, St. Croix, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, St. Thomas, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, and Turks and Caicos. Brenda's leadership team included Program Quality Director Innocent Richard (Haiti), Club Growth Director Pierre Mingot (Haiti), Public Relations Manager Roslyn A. Douglas (Grenada), Administration Manager Linette Gibs (Sint Maarten), Finance Manager Carti Sophia (St. Martin), and Immediate Past District Director Fabiola Cleofa (Curacao).
Beyond Toastmasters, Brenda Maynard has made significant contributions to Lions International and Sint Maarten's Youth Parliament. As a member of Sint Maarten's Lions Club and advisor to the Sint Maarten South Omega Leo Club, she has played a pivotal role in community service and membership growth. Her mentorship with the Youth Parliament has nurtured numerous young leaders, emphasizing professionalism and offering invaluable guidance and support.
