SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY) - NV GEBE released on Thursday, August 22, 2024, its loadshedding schedule of up to two hours per district/area. 

Some areas may experience outages of longer than two hours and there may be deviations from the schedule due to varying load demands. Schedule is subject to change with ongoing updates throughout the day.

ARVHIVED - AUGUST 21, 2024 - SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY) – NV GEBE announced on Wednesday the following, “Please be advised that due to urgent maintenance needed on our largest unit, loadshedding will commence at 5:00am on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.

“The loadshedding will last for a period of 3 hours in the affected areas. The loadshedding schedule will be shared and updated once the information is received. Please note that schools will not be affected during the load-shedding rotation.

“The maintenance is expected to be completed by late afternoon on Wednesday. We apologize for the inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding as we work to complete the necessary repairs.”
