Police Receive New Vehicles to Fight Crime

SINT MAARTEN (GREAT BAY) – The President of the NAPB Sint Maarten Union Marcus Pantophlet announced on Friday that on Thursday, November 7, the Sint Maarten Police Force (KPSM) received a number of new vehicles from car dealerships.
Pantophlet met with Prime Minister Dr. Luc Mercelina on Wednesday regarding the concerns of NAPB especially as it relates to the state of law enforcement vehicles.
Other issues that were discussed were conditions that Customs officers have to work under; resource shortages, unsafe working conditions, and long-overdue administrative decrees.
Pantophlet was accompanied by Police Chief Carl John.
