About the BESTLIFE2030 programme
Halting the global decline in biodiversity is a crucial aspect of the European Union's biodiversity strategy for 2030. The European Union's overseas regions are home to exceptionally rich biodiversity.
At the same time, they are facing considerable environmental pressure and are becoming increasingly vulnerable to the effects of climate change.
The BESTLIFE2030 programme is aimed at protecting and restoring biodiversity, protecting natural resources and adapting to climate change in these areas. BESTLIFE2030 is funded by LIFE, a European funding programme for the environment and climate.
IUCN coordinates the programme and IUCN NL is the regional hub for the Caribbean part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
