PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten - The lady with initials K.A. (40) filed a report with the Detective Department on April 29^th stating that on Saturday April 26^th during the end of the Jouvert Morning, her son with initials R.D.O.A. was attacked and beaten by a group of boys in front of the Festival Village. One of the attackers used a brass knuckle to strike the victim in his head. As a result of this beating the victim suffered severe bleeding under his skull and had to be admitted to the Sint Maarten Medical Center for further treatment. The victim had to be flown abroad on Monday April 28^th because of his deteriorating medical condition. The Detective Department is investigating this case and is asking anyone who may have any information concerning this case to contact the Police Department.

POLICE BLOTTER: License plates reported stolen.

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten - The Detective department between April 29^th and May 2^nd 2014 has received more than a dozen reports of stolen 2014 license plates which were taken from the rear of the vehicles. The most of these license plates were stolen in the Philipsburg and Cay Hill area during the Carnival festivities. An investigation is ongoing to locate the culprits responsible for this act.

PHILIPSBURG, Sint Maarten - In connection with the ongoing rise in home break-ins and businesses on the island during the Carnival season and the attempted manslaughter of a police officer, the police department is requesting the assistance of the public to help locate one of the suspects by the name of Ricardo Daniel GUMAN-GONZALES from Mexico.
